[cancercured] Genetic factor/was: Breast Cancer Industry A Scam? Support Education, Not Medication

Identifying a gene that causes cancer or any other condition is just
medical shorthand not necessarily an immutable sentence that determines
one's fate. How does the gene cause the disease? That's the question
that it is profitable to address.
It may be no more than a lack of or over-production of a particular
enzyme or the need for, or avoidance of some particular nutrient.

For example the genetic disorder phenylketonuria which can cause severe
mental retardation, seizures, abnormal growth is the lack of a single
enzyme, the one necessary for metabolizing the common amino acid
phenylalinine. Levels of the amino acid build up in the infant's body
and cause the symptoms. Detected at birth by a routine urine test the
infant's diet can be modified to exclude phenylalinine and the
pathological consequences of this "genetic disease" do not develop.

If you lack the gene necessary for making the enzyme lactase (like most
of the world's population) you can consider yourself the victim of a
genetic disorder with its attendant mild to serious discomforts or you
can eliminate milk from your diet and live a healthy life.

Some genetic breast cancers may result from an equally simple enzyme
disorder.

As far as I know, which isn't very far, genetic disorders usually
involve disorders in enzyme production.

All the best,
